Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-Yen visited Austria on the 12th during her European tour. She first met with Member of Parliament and Mayor of Baden City Hall, exchanging views on tourism, city marketing, and family support. In the evening, she attended the inaugural dinner for the new and outgoing presidents of the World Real Estate Federation, witnessing the appointment of Chang Lily, a shining example of Taichung's talent, as the new president. Lu Shiow-yen stated that as a female leader, she felt incredibly proud to see outstanding women shining in various fields.

Mayor Lu Shiow-Yen and Mayor Hsin Tse-li also exchanged views on issues such as the council system, city marketing, tourism industry, education policy, and family support, and found they were highly compatible in terms of municipal governance.

Lu Shiow-Yen said that Baden is famous for its hot springs and wines. It was not only included in the UNESCO World Heritage List of "Europe's Great Spa Cities" in 2011, but also has a long tradition of music and art. It was once the home of famous musicians such as Beethoven and Mozart. Taichung, on the other hand, has cultural features such as opera houses, the Matsu pilgrimage, and jazz festivals, which complement Baden's photography festival and wine festival. She hopes that the two cities can establish a closer cooperative relationship in the future, so that they can jointly showcase their urban charm on the international stage.

At the handover banquet for Chang Lily, the first Chinese woman to serve as president of the World Real Estate Federation in its 75th anniversary year and who is also from Taichung, Lu Hsiu-yen exclaimed that Chang Lily has made history, and she and all the citizens of Taichung feel extremely proud.

Mayor Lu also pledged that the Taichung City Government would fully support President Chang Lily to ensure the success of the "World Real Estate Federation International Trade Exchange Conference" to be held in Taichung this September.
